"Twins" is a deeply personal piece capturing the essence and shared love of my nieces. Their silhouettes are brought to life through flowing, curved lines in contrasting shades of vibrant orange and bright purple - exactly as I perceive their spirits. A dark, jagged line crosses the composition, visually separating the two sisters while simultaneously connecting them like an umbilical cord. To ground the artwork in a profoundly intimate and feminine dimension, I incorporated my own menstrual blood, linking the imagery of the twins with the sacred bond of womanhood and the human body. Painting this was a beautiful, fluid process where I was able to intuitively transfer a living energy directly onto the canvas.
